Why locals love it
To be quite honest, Opium is not the first place you'd think off to recommend - it's expensive, kind of snobby and does make itself out to be a lot more than it is. But on the other hand, it's a prime example of what you can expect, if you go to the towers at the Port Olimpic for a night out.
Why you should visit it
During the day, it doubles as a surprisingly good eatery and has a lovely terrace beachside. At night, the volume goes to max and the place fills up with people looking for a good time. Definitely a place for grand gestures.
Special tip
There are several bars and discos, as well as a casino, in this area, and it's amazingly popular with a well-dressed, moneyed crowd.
