Eating in a bus may not be the ideal for many. But if I tell you to eat in a Big Blue Bus in the backyard of a pub the perspective changes, especially because this bus has to be one of the most fun places to eat in Dublin. Where is that bus? It’s in “The Bernard Shaw”, an alternative bar located in South Richmond Street, more specifically in the courtyard of the bar, next to the pool table. I am telling you this it’s a win-win situation.

The Blue Bus is a pizzeria which opens from Thursdays to Sundays from 6 pm till closing time of the bar. The price is acceptable and sometimes they have fun deals like: “if your name is Pedro, you will receive a free pizza today”. And if you’re at it you can rent a water pipe for smoking while having dinner, yes, in a bus.

If you are hungry a little earlier, the front of Bernard Shaw is a small Italian restaurant during the day. They offer a tasty menu and have great Italian coffee and sweets. And while you're there, take a look around, because sometimes the place functions as a gallery for new artists.
