Sinebrychoff Park

Why locals love it

"Koffari" is a favourite summer hangout for the young Helsinki hipster crowd...and anyone else who appreciates a picnic and a chilled out post-work "pussikalja" (literally: bag beer). Located towards the end of Bulevardi, this sweeping grassy hillside fills up with cheerfully drunken teens and others on any bright sunny afternoon.

Why you should visit it

The natural ampitheatre formed by the hillside and the flat section at the bottom make it a great spot for concerts and festival events - or for sledding in the winter. Bring your bottle of bubbly, your "bag beer", your hip red "Jacques Costeau" beanie and your ghetto blaster and you’ll fit right in.

Special tip

If you’re lucky you’ll even see the circus acrobats who regularly come here to train.
