Beautiful red cathedral

Church of Saints Simon and Helena

Why locals love it

According to local legend, a girl named Alena and her younger brother were very ill. An angel visited Alena in a dream and ordered her to build a cathedral. When she awoke, she drew a beautiful red brick cathedral. After the children died, their father, Edward Vaynilovich, built the cathedral in their honour.
