This is a grand place for thinkers to visit. It's a calm street with old industrial architecture (some of the buildings are from the 19th century), two great cafés and periodically emerging street art. A place where time has stopped, it charms with its tranquility and emptiness. Many movies about pre-revolutionary Russia were filmed here.

You won't find somewhere as calm or intimate near the centre of Minsk as Kastrychnitskaya Vulica. Old (some of them still working) red brick factory buildings, a small Lenin sculpture, an honour wall, rare trams and complete silence – no other place will better show you how things were in times past.
Don't stop at the beginning of the street – the most interesting part awaits you at the end!
