Established in 1971, this neighbourhood café is reminiscent of a traditional Italian bar. Perpetually busy and always lively, order at the front counter and take a seat as you wait for your food to be delivered in the form of your name being yelled out by the barista. In summer, patrons flock onto the terrace, which remains occupied into the night.

Their specialties are the salads and panini – I recommend a sausage, steak, or chicken sandwich. All come dressed with hot peppers, marinated eggplants, caramelized onions, lettuce, and tomato. You can also enjoy a cannoli and coffee or a beer while you catch the game, whether it’s hockey in winter or the World Cup in summer.
Café Milano is open 24 hours. The area’s locals come here for a bite to eat after a night of clubbing. Their tasty subs make the perfect 3 a.m. snack!
