Why locals love it
On the other side of the Isar river you can find this traditional beer garden which is very popular amongst locals. As it is a bit off the touristy paths you can dive into everyday life and enjoy some real Bavarian culture.
Why you should visit it
If you want to try Bavarian cuisine and feel the true Bavarian spirit, you have to go straight to Hofbräukeller. The food is very tasty and relatively cheap (compared to other beer gardens in Munich), to say nothing about beer (especially Zwieckelbier - something you won't find a lot but something that is extremely qualitative and tasty).
Special tip
Like in any real beer garden you are allowed to bring your own food here.
