The outside bar is really enjoyable during summer and even in winter, and it’s usually quite full (mostly with smokers!). It’s a pleasant place to take a break, or to grab a drink when taking a walk by the canal. It’s relatively inexpensive, and it’s often packed with local students who give a friendly ambiance to the place.

Why you should visit it
If you walk along Canal St-Martin, you cannot miss Chez Prune. Located on the right of a canal bridge, it's a nice bistro serving quality meals at moderate prices. There are usually three or four meal choices and the menu changes daily, so you’ll never get bored of the food. The best part is the view from the terrace.

Sunday brunch ranges from €14–21 depending on which set menu you choose.
