The elegant Grand Café Orient, located on the first floor of the famous House of the Black Madonna, is the one and only café in the world built and decorated in the unique cubist style. Once you step in, you immediately feel the artistic retro vibe. It is not just the abstract shape of the building but also the unique Czech Cubism interior.

Why you should visit it
The café first opened in 1912, but closed when cubism fell out of fashion ten years later. It reopened in 2005; and its interior was renovated according to historical photographs. Prices are slightly higher, but not too expensive. They serve predominantly sandwiches, salads and desserts.
Special tip
Their specialty is a traditional little Czech cake called “Kubistický věneček” or best translated as “cubist wreath”.
