Why locals love it?

Vyšehrad is a very popular spot for locals in the summer when the beer garden opens. The easiest way to get there is from Vyšehrad metro station. Just follow the signs, you can't miss it.

Why you should visit it

Vyšehrad - meaning a "High Castle", describes this spot quite well as it was built on rocks above the river. Although the view of the city from the top is excellent, it gets only little attention from tourists. Next to the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, you will find a cemetery where many famous Czech people are buried.
