Why locals love it
Owned by the Swedish Press Photographer’s Club, Galleri Kontrast is a fine little exhibition space dedicated to documentary photography. Hosting around 20 exhibitions annually, including the Swedish Picture of the Year and the Nordic School of Photography’s final exhibition, it’s a favourite among local photography students and photojournalists.
Why you should visit it
Housed in a former bank with lofty glass ceilings and intimate underground vaults, Galleri Kontrast is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys documentary photography and refined architecture. They also have a gift shop at the entrance with a tempting selection of photo books and postcards.
