Why locals love it
It can be tough finding a local haunt in Stockholm’s tourist-ridden Old Town, even for locals. While Wirströms certainly isn’t Swedish, it’s a hell of a lot more authentic than most other places in the area.
Why you should visit it
Spread across two floors, Wirströms is a warm, atmospheric pub with a main bar at street level and a “Jameson Cellar” made up of several rooms and vaults. Besides offering free live music six nights a week, they screen all major sporting events.

Every second Thursday there’s a competitive music and film quiz in English.
