Why locals love it?

The Solaris shopping centre has been subject to controversy ever since the old Soviet era Sakala centre was torn down to make room for the new mall back in 2007. Every now and then you can hear some of the older folk complain about the new building, but we the youth (secretly) quite fancy the place.

Why you should visit it

Aside from a well-stocked grocery store, the centre houses various cafes and small retailers of everything from board games to shoes and bags. After all, they sell Ben & Jerry's! And we can taste our own hypocrisy with every single bite. We can certainly appreciate the new cinema, and especially the Artis alternative film theatre.

On the other side of the building is the Nokia concert hall, the schedule of which is worth checking out!
