There’s so much more to Tallinn than what lies within the medieval walls. One of the smallest capitals in Europe, Tallinn is a place where modernity and tradition meet. From the high rises to the wooden houses, from the green parks to the tower blocks, the city constitutes a kaleidoscope of dizzying contrasts. Most tourists stay within the Old Town walls, but there's plenty happening outside. Visit the up and coming area Kalamaja and its retro bars and cafes, get lost in Kadriorg Park or take a bus to Pirita Beach. Churches and Medieval houses are great too, but they're only half of the fun.
