The Café Jelinek is one of many coffee houses in Vienna that doesn't try to be chic and stylish and this is what makes most of its charme. Some might say that the place is falling apart and needs restoration, but many Viennese enjoy drinking their coffee in such a trash-design-location.
If you are a fan of old furniture, strong coffee and vintage charme you are going to enjoy this place. Café Jelinek is also a great place, because its main guests are locals. It is situated quite central, but has not yet become a tourist trap.
Best side order to a coffee: bread with butter and chives, a bit pricey, but worth it.
