Why locals love it?

It is split in two parts. One works as a gallery, usually exposing arts made in Užupis republic. Other parts works as a art/souvenir shop which looks like a gallery too.

Why you should visit it

The “breakaway” republic of Užupis takes pride in its artists, who make up the bulk of its population. In the house where the idea of independence was born 20 years ago you’ll find a gallery featuring the separatists’ artwork. One of the best places to get unique local made souvenirs.

It is under renovation. Will open at most likely on January 2013.
