Although the slogan of the Warsaw Tourist Information says "Fall in love with Warsaw", it might not be easy to fall in love with the Polish capital at first sight. Knowing that more than 90 percent of the city has been destroyed during the Second World War, we should appreciate Warsaw people’s great dedication to rebuild their beloved city. Today you see the cute (rather new) old town, the great skyscrapers and the grey socialist blocks of flats. But hidden in the grey that envelopes Warsaw, you are surprised to find impressive courtyards, scenic parks, cute little cafes and ambitious galleries. There is so much more to discover behind the surface!
