Why locals love it
Locals have been romancing with this place since 19th century! It is still running on its original location, under its initial name. It was named after its first owner Mr. Pallain. The interior was redesigned in 2012, and Palainovka has been trully revived since.

Why you should visit it
The fact that Palainovka was a witness to important events of Zagreb history is reason enough to check its ambient echoing with times long past. This bar is pure history. It's known to be a famous historical meeting spot and it was built from the remains of medieval city gate.
Special tip
A cup of coffee on the terrace is a local custom, but Palainovka has lately become a hip night bar, too. Sometimes it hosts live performances.
