Meskel Square is the most central and the main square of Addis Ababa. It has a huge importance for the locals as it is the site where the Ethiopian Christianity followers celebrate Meskel (the foundation of the True Cross of Jesus Christ) every year on September 27th or 28th

Every morning, Meskel Square is full of athletes training which is something unique. On special occasions like Meskel Celebration (one of Ethiopia's non-tangible UNESCO World Heritage sites), it is a ground where visitors experience "real Ethiopia"
