St. George Cathedral is one of the oldest churches/cathedrals in Addis Ababa. It is so historical that the copy of the Ark of the Covenant from this cathedral was taken with the army in 1896 to the Battle of Adwa where Ethiopians defeated Fascist Italy

The St. George Cathedral (Church), found around Emperor Menelik II Statue, is a historic and architecturally stunning church. The present church building reflects a great stone work and inside the building you can find interesting paintings.
