Yekatit 12 Monument, also known as "Sidist Kilo", is a historical monument nearby Addis Ababa University at 6 Kilo. This monument was erected in honor of Ethiopians martyred Fascist martyred by Fascist Italians during their occupations of Ethiopia in the 1930s.

Why you should visit it

Yekatit 12 (literally meaning February 12) Monument is erected to remember Ethiopians brutally killed by Italians as a revenge after two young Ethiopians attempt to kill the Marshal Rodolfo Graziani, Viceroy of Italian East Africa, on 19 February 1937.
