Why locals love it
Semaphore has remained untouched when it comes to new developments and buildings. The Main Street is filled with Op-Shops, individual store owners and cute little Cafes with delicious food. There's an old cinema as well that's still running and has all of its original furniture and interior/exterior!

Why you should visit it
Semaphore is always busy during the hot summer days and nights as they have a fair there that goes for 6 weeks from the middle of December. It truly is a place that could make you feel as if you're back in the 70s. There's a restaurant as well that overlooks the beach, great for dinner after spending the day swimming, watching a movie & op-shopping
Special tip
Big grass area where the teenagers hang out (and playground for the kids) great for a picnic but parking can be tricky so if possible take the bus.
