Albert Heijn is the most Dutch super market of them all and loved by almost everyone. The reason is simple, AH offers good prices to all: Exclusive products for the wealthy, home brands for the average and 'Euro Shopper' for students and the less wealthy.
Why you should visit it
Albert Heijn is not the most favorite for no reason. The fruits they sell are always fresh and good. Most shops have an in-store bakery, butcher and cheese seller. Get something fresh to go and enjoy it in a nearby park. Oh and most shops also have a shelf with products for tourists (stroopwafels etc.)
Special tip
Get a 'Bonuskaart' at the counter before entering the shop. Depending on the time of year, you can get pretty big discounts with it.
