De Gieter is a very popular bar among students. They have lower prices for beers on Monday till Thursday. The bar is situated on a two minute walk from 'Leidseplein' and for that reason also part of some international students' pub-crawls. But that is what makes it great, there's a lot of different kinds of students present.
Why you should visit it
If you want to go budget drinking on weekdays, this is a good place to go. From Wednesday on it can get really crowded in De Gieter. It is a thin but long bar, so you have to love your neighbor. But despite the crowd, there's still a lot of dancing going on.
