In the mid 20's some hard working Amsterdam businessmen were convinced that offering good quality goods at a cheap price can still be profitable. And today we still thank those men for founding HEMA. To Dutch people nowadays, HEMA is always the answer to the question: 'Now, where would they sell thát?'
Why you should visit it
HEMA is a (small) department store that sells local food, clothes and all sorts of supplies. But next to that they are also famous for their restaurant/cafeteria. The €1 breakfast and '4'o'clock' (coffee and cake) are local favorites.
