Why locals love it
Kriterion is a cinema just across the street from one of the main buildings of the University of Amsterdam. It dates from WOII and it is completely managed by students. This results in a quite young public, though this does definitely not mean that only students are welcome here.
Why you should visit it
Kriterion plays movies in all genres. You could say it is in between art house, (the right) block busters and great documentaries.
Special tip
Besides a cinema, Kriterion also has a popular bar with live music. Check the website for the agenda.
