Why locals love it
Lets be honest; Le Pain is a chain but it does serve a nice, healthy selection of salads, good coffee and pretty amazing selection of breads. This latest addition is right opposite the Eastern park (Oosterpark) and a great place for a Sunday breakfast before taking a morning stroll along the Amstel!

Why you should visit it
The "botanique" salad is typical of le Pain, with lentils, sliced fennel, avocado, radish and various breads. I would suggest this, or one of the omega 3 seed salads if you're still observing your New Years resolutions, or the caramel tart, eclair, croissant and wash it down with a bottle of prosecco if you're not.
Special tip
I would suggest a small mochaccino otherwise you'll end up with the bucket in my picture
