Why locals love it
The center of Amsterdam has two relatively big concert halls, Paradiso and Melkweg. Melkweg opened two years after Paradiso, in 1970. Melkweg is homed by an old milk factory. quite a unique location, just behind Leidseplein. It is popular among locals because it hosts literally all kinds of musical artists, theater, cinema and photography.
Why you should visit it
If you feel like seeing live music when you are in Amsterdam, Melkweg might offer a concert of one of your favorite bands. There is a smaller and a bigger concert hall inside Melkweg, so there are different show almost every night.
