We will start our tour from the Amsterdam Centraal station, famous for its incredibly beautiful interior, exterior and historical surroundings. After discovering all the secrets of this place, we will move towards cozy and quiet streets of Jordaan.
There are a lot of wonderful things will be on our way, such as the narrowest house, West India house, lots of lovely houseboats and the one and only in the world floating shelter for cats! Walking along famous canal ring with its beautiful churches and magnificent merchant houses built 17-18th century, we will share with you a lot of stories about the Dutch Golden Age, development of trade routes, lifestyle of merchants and will share with you lots of other interesting things about Dutch history and modern culture.
One of our main sight is a market square - the heart of Jordaan. There is a lovely market on Saturdays here, where we recommend you to try some delicious oysters with a glass of wine, dutch farmer's cheese and other local delicacy. After we will have a little break in the old brown bar, where you can try some dutch beer or jenever and, most importantly, the apple pie, which was highly appreciated by Bill Clinton!
After little tasting we will continue our walk and find out more about Jordaan's historical past. For instance, we will show you a lot of little historical monuments, sculptures, hidden church and green and cozy yard 'Hofje', where we will tell you about charity system from the 16th century and up to now.
Jordaan is also known as one of the most creative districts of Amsterdam. Therefore, we would like to introduce you some local art galleries, design stores and very unusual labyrinth hotel, which will definitely blow your mind!
We will finish our tour nearby Anne Frank House and Westerkerk.
