Was an amazing evening. Something so different from the obvious visit to Amsterdam. This is a whole new easy to get to area. There's more to Amsterdam than the beautiful city center. This area that Petra lives in is modern and clean and designerly and such a fun way to see a new part of Amsterdam. If you don't want to walk 25 minutes from the center, I took tram number 26 and I walked there and took the tram back to Central Station.
Petra's cooking was clean and fresh and healthy and I was full so I couldn't even do dessert! It was DELISCIOUS! She's easy to be with and makes you feel comfortable.
My favorite part was to witness a true artist's home. I got to see her studio and her collections of inspiration! She's totally the real deal, breathing art all day long. I enjoyed her art as much as the dinner. An extra bonus to see and hear an artist's process!

Starter: freshly made soup topped with smoked salmon, crème fraîche and dill, service with ciabatta
Main: organic grass-fed beef filet mignon (tournedos) with vegetables and typical Dutch Van Gogh potatoes
