Rijksmuseum is famous for its huge collection of art works, such as luxurious furniture, old ship models and, of course, artworks by Rembrandt, Frans Hals and other well-known Old Masters.

The 17th century in the Netherlands is known for its significant economic and cultural changes: moving from Catholicism to Protestantism, becoming an independent republic and etc. Suddenly, Dutch trade, military, science and art were among the most acclaimed in the world.

Together with you we will try to discover the secrets of 'Night watch' by Rembrandt and 'The Milkmaid' by Vermeer. We will discuss the hidden meanings of Dutch still lifes, funny daily scenes depicted by Jan Stein and talk about different aspects of Dutch history, whether it is important national happenings or daily habits of that time.
