Small festival with a
lot of heart
Alaska Greek Festival0
Why locals love it
Greek coffee and a fresh Greek pastry to start off, gyros, Greek food, beer and wine, pastries, cooking demonstrations, music and Greek youth dance troupe, silent auction, and a chance to win a car. There is no fee to get in and the parking is free too. Check the website to see the times and they will give you a flier when there.
Why you should visit it
You might be the only tourist if you come here. Seriously. Loved by locals but it may not seem as much. It gets a lot busier during the evening and during the dance presentations. Everyone has a good time. Only downside is that it's only one weekend in August. There is also no entry fee
Go around the dance presentation times, and come with an empty stomach. More of an opportunity to just hang out.
