Why locals love it

Get out and about to all the different stands, eat overpriced foods, buy tshirts, honey, jewelry or what have you. Go over and enjoy a beer/wine and some music. Monster car, lumberjack, and dog shows to name a few. And of course the most important is the biggest cabbage competition.

Why you should visit it

Get out of town, about 45 minutes north for the day. You can also take the train up and not worry about the cars and driving. Even if it's raining it can be fun. There is such a variety of food and entertainment, so make sure you look at the schedules available at the entrance to plan your day.

Special tip

There is a newer area past the livestock arena that has the native village and amazing local food. (Yes, it's still over priced.)
