Climbing up the slippery steps of the Hill of Ares, offers you a stunning view of the city! That's where St. Paul famously stood too. During the night it’s full of tourists and Greek students enjoying a warm night under the stars. The city lights look pretty cool from up there and it’s only a 10′ walk from Monastiraki.
Why you should visit it
Getting to the top of that hill, gets you in a position where you are directly above the Agora (Forum) of Athens, thus enjoying the best view.
Special tip
Areios Pagos is well known to Christians all over the world as this is where Apostle Paul stood to address the Athenians back in 60 AD.
