About 18km outside the center of Athens, is the National Observatory of Athens. It is operation since 1995 and has been hosting visitors for years. The main goal of the Observatory is to spread the astrophysics knowledge we have, to the visitors, in the simplest way possible.

Why you should visit it

The location of the Observatory offers a panoramic view of Athens which is breathtaking! The visiting room can host up to 125 people and you need to book a ticket in order to join. The stuff will give you a very interesting introduction before going to the big room of the telescope where you can look at the stars and planets.

The staff is very sociable, so don't hesitate to ask them anything you want.
