My husband and I were in port for the day, and having been in Athens before, we wanted to do something different. This was the best choice, and so glad we did! If you arrive on a cruise ship, you need a driver to get to the meeting point.

Anna was our guide. We had so much fun with her. I can't tell you enough how wonderful all the food was from the Greek coffee, the olives, the meat and cheese, the doughnuts, the fantastic gyros (we are still talking about how amazing they were), and everything else in between. We walked through the meat market, the fish market, and the vegetable market. We also stopped in a few churches. We took our time at all the stops, never felt rushed.

Again, can't say enough about this tour and the food. Great choice and variety for all the stops.

Highly recommend this tour, and go hungry!

Anna - it took us the rest of the cruise to finish the olives! I wish we had that here!

What a wonderful tour!
Dorella (I called her “Doe” because I can’t roll my “R’s” very well) was our guide and her knowledge of the area and cuisine was amazing! She was born and raised In the area we toured and offered an education in all aspects of cuisine but also any other subject we inquired about. Her smile and enthusiasm was contagious and brighter than the Greek sun that day. We definitely received a fantastic overview of Greek food and it’s history all the while sampling said history. We will definitively be back to do the tour again with Dorella - but we might have to back off eating so many delicious Loukoumades! (Beware the warm sweet fluffy crispy Loukoumades, they come early on in the tour and it’s a marathon not a sprint! ) Our best food tour to date in our many travels. Well done!

Great fun
We had a superb time on our food tour. The guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. You try so many flavours, textures, food and drink its unbelievable. No one in the group realised there would be so much. The tour lasted 4 hours but flew by and was over too soon. Highly recommended indeed.

Highly recommend!
Absolutely loved this tour! We did the Acropolis afternoon group tour. Kimon was our guide and was amazing. He was engaging and was extremely knowledgeable. Tour was about 1.5 hours, which was the perfect amount of time. After the tour, he will leave you at the Acropolis to enjoy the views, and I recommend waiting for this to take pictures. Make sure to bring comfortable shoes and bottled water.

Best night of our visit to Athens
If you’re thinking of taking this cooking class, think no more: you HAVE to take this class! Stam was our instructor. He was fun, personable, intelligent, and helpful. He helped us learn prepare to prepare multiple delicious dishes. Everything we made/ ate was so delicious, I wish I had more room in my stomach to eat it all! I can’t wait to go home and make these things for my family and friends in New York. It’s special to be able to bring a taste of Greece home with you, and that’s exactly what you get when you take this class to learn how to make these dishes.the view on top of the building at night is phenomenal; truly a sight to be seen. Stam is an ambitious and amazing chef; you’ll be lucky to experience his class. Happy to call him a new friend! Thank you for the experience.

Become a master chef in just a few hours!
Whether on your honeymoon like we were or vacationing with friends, you will be missing out if you don't spend one of you nights taking this class. It is so much fun and the food you end up making is delicious. We loved sipping wine as we dined on the fruits of our labor, all the while enjoying a breathtaking view of the acropolis.

Fantastic Experience
We have taken many cooking classes around the world and this was one of the very best. Under the capable direction of chef Stam, we made chocolate mousse, tsatziki, spanakopita, Greek salad and chicken in tomato sauce. The class was hands on and we learned many new tips on making these delicious dishes.
The class ended with an amazing rooftop dining experience complete with a night view of the Acropolis. I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone visiting Athens. Chef Stam was outstanding.

Greek Cooking Class and Rooftop Dinner with Spiros
This was an amazing evening. We met Spiros in Monasteraki Square and introduced ourselves to the other couples from USA and Mexico who were enjoying the evening with us. We headed to Meliartos, the coffee shop he works in and headed up to the kitchen area to start preparing our meal. We started with a chocolate mousse dessert then prepared a spinach and ricotta pie, Tsitsaki dips, a classic Greek salad and a chicken and vege dish. We did pretty well but the finale was to head to their rooftop overlooking the Acropolis to enjoy a relaxing dinner of what we had prepared.
We sat next to a building with a commercial rooftop restaurant and I'm sure our food and ambience was better that their's.
Spiros was very helpful and informative giving us a great insight into Greek culture and the effects of the global economic disaster on his life. Good luck with your musical ambitions,Spiros.
