Marialena was a wonderful guide and a highlight of our trip. Her education and professional experience in archeology made the museum come alive as we connected with people throughout history. Greeking.me was a pleasure to work with. Eleni offered many options for our extended day in Athens as she scheduled our custom tour. Greeking.me was a pleasure to work with. Description

Begin your full-day adventure with the Acropolis and let your guide reveal the history of its impressive monuments, including the Parthenon, the Temple of Nike, the Propylaea and the Erechtheion. Walk to the Acropolis Museum to gaze at exhibits nearly 3.000 years old; with your licensed guide by your side, you will learn all about the customs and daily life of ancient Greece.

Stroll around the neighborhood of Plaka to admire its neoclassical buildings and the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates. Wander around Athens on foot and pass by some of its most important monuments, such as the Temple of Zeus.

Continue onto Syntagma square, where you can gaze at the Greek parliament; if you're lucky, you may also catch the changing of the presidential guards! Reach Monastiraki Square to admire the Tzistarakis mosque, Hadrian's library, and the Pantanassa church; all significant parts of Athens' heritage.

Next, walk to the National Gardens, home to thousands of plant species. Your tour will come to an end once you reach the Panathenaic Stadium, host of the 1st modern Olympic Games! By the time we say goodbye, you’ll have seen Athens' most important elements!

We absolutely loved our Best of Athens tour with Vicky. She was the best! Vicky was a wealth of knowledge and provided great background and context to everything we saw. I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone curious about Greek culture, history and the origins of Western civilization.
Our tour with Anastasia was wonderful! We had a really great time. First of all, it was well organized; we were able to skip lines and avoid crowds (though it was still crowded, but it appeared that it got even more crowded afterwards). More important, we were all impressed by the knowledge of Anastasia and her gentleness. Her love for Greek ancient history is simply amazing, and we learned a lot from her. And the half vehicle option was appropriate for us, because both of our kids were quite tired after lunch, and it would’ve been very hard for them if they had to walk.
