This tour takes you to the most local and authentic places in Athens.
We’ll head through the Flea Market and the Thiseion neighbourhood to the ancient Kerameikos cemetery. You’ll see modern street art as we walk along an ancient road, the birthplace of ancient graffiti.
We’ll then wander through Psiri – one of the coolest neighbourhoods in Athens. It’s full of street art, hip bars, galleries, theatres and young people.
Arriving at the Athens Public Market, you’ll see butchers from families who have had stalls in the market for over a century. Next, we’ll visit one of the most interesting roads in the city, which is full of stores selling plants, seeds, herbs and spices.
Our next stop will be the historical Exarcheia area near the University of Athens, which is said to have a revolutionary atmosphere.
Finally, we’ll head to the famous neoclassical trilogy: the Academy of Athens, the University and the National Library.
