This centrally located stage usually has plenty of parking and is a great activity to enjoy outside during the summer. The shows are family and dog friendly. Every week there is a different kind of show and they and are not overcrowded (unlike other free outdoor shows during the summer).

Why you should visit it
It's a great way to see Austin arts without spending a lot of money. They have Shakespearean plays, ballets, orchestra concerts and Disney plays (like Shrek). The shows last a few hours and they start at 8 so they are not too hot.
Special tip
Bring something to sit on (blanket/chair). Bring some cash to tip the performers.
