South Congress is a great area to get a completely different feel for Austin. It is a bit touristy but it still has come great places to see. The pizza at Home Slice is great! My favorite is the White Pie with Spinach. It's great flavor and not too expensive. The service is fantastic too!

Why you should visit it
Austin isn't known for it's pizza but this is probably one of the best cheap pizza places in Austin. You can buy pizza by the slice or get the whole pie. The servers are very nice and patient and the outdoor patio is an unexpected surprise in SOCO.
Special tip
If there is a wait, play some ping pong in the back while you wait.
