As a little island, it's great to let your dog off-leash and not have to worry about him/her. There are other dogs there for your pup to make friends and it doesn't get overcrowded because the lack of parking prevents that. It's a great place to sit and enjoy the scenery while your pup plays with new found friends.
Why you should visit it
Although most people do not travel with pets, this is still a great little hike and a great place to interact with dogs in case you are missing your pup at home. The trees and water are gorgeous enough to come there without a dog but having all the dogs running around makes it heaven.
Special tip
Come early and during the week to get a parking spot. The parking lot is tiny!
