Not only does Uncle Billy's have some of the best BBQ in Austin, it's also located in a very hip spot in the city. The Barton Springs area is an area that doesn't get too crowded and the people are always friendly. It feels like you are hanging out in a backyard. Also, right down the street there are great options for food truck desserts.
Why you should visit it
The BBQ is amazing! I would recommend the brisket (as with any good BBQ place in Texas). They have a habanero BBQ sauce for anyone who is a little more daring (it's delicious, not just spicy). The outdoor patio has plenty of shade and mister-fans to keep you cool on a hot day and the atmosphere encourages you to make friends anytime you come.
