Established in 1955, this gorgeous botanic garden sits right across the street from Zilker Park. Their mission is to promote the education and love of gardening among people of all ages. I think they do just that. When you go to the park, you can see the flowers in all stages and it really gets you excited for gardening.

This is a great place to see what kinds of plants and flowers grown in Austin. There is also a small dinosaur garden that is neat for the kids to see. There are lots of twists and turns which keeps the walk interesting. It also allows you to tuck yourself away in your own little secret garden corner.
Come early for parking. The parking lot is pretty small.
