I had a fantastic afternoon with Nijat — far beyond my expectations! After a very through and informative introduction to Baku’s History, we roamed the “streets” of the old city uncovering Interesting moments and experiences from a baklava tasting to a hidden rug museum to a local ceramicist’s studio. I highly recommend anyone visiting Baku to book at least a few hours with Nijat; you’ll love him!

We begin the tour at the Maiden Tower – the symbol of the city. We’ll then walk through the Old City and visit nearby historical places including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs which has been described by UNESCO as "one of the pearls of Azerbaijan's architecture".
The tour will include all the must-see sights in the Old City, as well as buildings dating from the late 19th century to the early 20th century.
