Basics are green curry, red curry, yellow curry, masaman curry, and Panang curry with meat of your choice as well as Pad Thai. Mango and sticky rice with coconut cream. Thai iced tea. Pad see ew noodles with meat of your choice. Note that Thais mostly eat pork (not kosher, haram), chicken, and fish. Hard to find beef. Enjoy!

Have you ever tried Pad Thai? If you are a fan of Pad Thai, then go for Pad Thai Thip Samai.

I totally agree with the other replies, Thai food is a never-ending experience. But for first timers, you must start with what Thai Food is best known for - papaya salad or Som Tam, Tom Yam Koong (Shrimp Soup), Pad Thai, Masaman Curry (must take with rice), etc. etc.

Thai Food is the Best ! Have Fun (warning, request for LESS SPICY when ordering!)

Pad Krapow at a street side stall. It's a single dish that embodies everything thai food is all about, with garlic, chilli, herb and of course, lots of MSG in it.

Hello Juri. So many things to try... I don't know what to say. Maybe you should walk in Yaowarat area at night and try many things. I organized tours in Southeast Asia for almost 15 years. Please visit the page http://solidarasia.com/en/the-bangkok-neighborhood-life/

I often find that the nondescript basic looking family Thai restaurants are the most authentic. If you see mostly Thais eating there, it is a good bet that it is very good. Definitely try the street food also. For desert, try Mango and sticky rice with sweet condensed milk on top.

Definitely Pad Thai and Tom Yum kung.
You should also try Somtam, it’s a northeastern Thai style salad which can be spicy. If you can’t take spicy, tell them not to put chili.
