Description

On the Other Side of Bangkok which is on the left bank of the Chao Phraya river lies the ancient capital of Thon Buri – the previous capital of Thailand before the capital was moved across the river to Rattanakosin Island and became the current city of Bangkok (Kungthep). The original essence of Bangkok’s people’s way of life was connected to the river, canals, and waterways both on the Phra Nakhon (Royal City), which is the current Bangkok, and Thonburi sides. Many old communities reside here amongst the multitude of canals or “Klongs” that feed from the Chao Phraya and provide transportation as well as nourishment and economic opportunities to these local communities and where a different style of life exists, unseen and unknown where there are many interesting, cultural and traditional things to see such as local Buddhist temple and markets.

During a tour, you will have a chance to taste some local snacks and relax at the edge of one of the main Klongs, which connects to the Chao Phraya River. On the way back, you will enjoy with the beautiful scenery along the canal alley way by the longtail boat before getting to the starting point.
