Why locals love it
Like it's neighbour, the MACBA, the CCCB is something of a powerhouse on the modern art scene of Barcelona. The museum focuses heavily on contemporary art, as well hosting discussions, workshops and so on. Guided visits are unfortunately only in Spanish and Catalan - go figure.

Why you should visit it
If you're taking in the MACBA, stopping by the CCCB is an equally valid proposition and right next door. They also have a great museum shop with loads of art books, many in languages other than Spanish.
