The beach at Mar Bella has long been recognized as the city's unofficial gay beach, and boy does it show. And the bar that goes with it, equally so. To be honest, it's neither the food, the prices or the music that keeps people coming back here, but as the official chiringay, you are, if nothing else, guaranteed some eye candy.
This forms the hub of gay beach life from April to October, and a trek through Barcelona's gay scene is not complete without a dance and a dip for the Sunday sessions on the beach. If full frontal is not your thing, stay closer to the city, as this stretch of beach is an official nude beach as well.
