Etapes is on the Michelin shortlist, the so-called bib gourmands, and the why of it is easy - the food is fantastic. Well-made, well-presented, Etapes is reasonably priced for the quality of both food and drinks, and the location right near the many bars of Eixample make it a great dinner option, before hitting the town.

Why you should visit it
The food is modern Catalan, and is incredible. The service is informal and warm, but that does not mean sloppy - it's all very professional and attentive. It's not the cheapest option, but for a taste of something amazing, the quality definitely justifies the price.
