Garraf Beach

Why locals love it

Embedded between the rocky sierra of Garraf and the sea, this small settlement has been able to stay away from the urban transformation of its surroundings. Garraf beach keeps intact the spirit of old coast villages that used to live from fishing. The singular row of façades facing the sea is one of the top outstanding images of Barcelona’s coast.

Why you should visit it

You can reach Garraf beach by train, it's only 30 from the city center. Besides the time spent at the beach, Garraf itself it's tiny and can be visited with an hour of walking. For architecture and Gaudi fans, Garraf also hides a work of this celebrated architect, "Bodegas Güell", the wine cellar of Güell's family.

Special tip

Look carefully at the train schedules, few trains stop at Garraf. Extremely crowded on summer, it will be more difficult to enjoy the beach then.
